I have manage this property since 2016 and it had all original carpet and paint. When it was turned over after almost 5years of it being a rental, it was turned over in good condition. As an owner, you have to paint and redo the carpet at some point especially after being a rental for so many years, you cant just move back in and think you will not have any wear and tear on the property. I paid for alot of items to satisfy you out of my pocket because it isnt worth arguing over wear and tear items with owners that really shouldnt be landlords in the first place if they think they can just move into the same condition that they left it after many years of being a rental
